The problem with this is it doesn't delete the files in the back up folder that had been deleted in the original folder. It gives the option to replace all files or just the new ones. I can copy and paste a folder with sub folders and it will tell me that there are duplicates if the same structure is existent on the back up drive. I have played a little with file explorer. I want my back up files to look just like the originals using just the Windows file explorer. Some of the sync programs I have read about use an image as the back up requiring the program to access the back ups. It would take a little while to figure out the right options but then would probably be easy to use.

Is anyone using Robocopy which is a command line option? On first read it looks like it may do most of what I want and a lot more. Pairs are given a name and it is a very simple and quick process to select what I want to sync. An entire drive can be synced to another drive or just a folder can be set up. Its a simple process to set up folder pairs between different drives. I have been using SyncToy from Microsoft but just discovered it has been discontinued.
